My area was hit pretty hard by the tornadoes that went through North Carolina yesterday. My house and neighborhood, despite being in the path of the storms was totally skipped over, thank goodness!
Some of our friends have not been so lucky -- a couple I know have gone to Asheville to stay with relatives because their condo was hit head-on. Many others are without power. My husband is in Raleigh now, helping out with the effort to clear up debris in a neighborhood that was particularly hard-hit, where we have good friends.
Please send all good thoughts, prayers and karma our way. It has been devastating.

Hoping that people have been finding new homes and that all of their needs are being met.
My friends are doing well, but there are still many others who are in need. I'm going to see what I can do this week, in terms of helping physically. It's been really rough, and while it's still on the news, it's not on people's minds and in their hearts, even if they only live 5, 10 miles away from the damage. So many people have such a long road ahead of them.
